Thank you for being a part of making this a great school year!  We have had so many successes: adding more Chrome Books, growing our garden, celebrating our high Honor Roll/Attendance rates, adding STEAM/STEM classes in all three grades, utilizing Google Classroom in EVERY department, writing and awarding over 2,000 Good News Referrals, using Twitter/Blogger to show student responses/work, our first electronic newspapers, adding journalism and creative writing, increase in PE standards, all 8th graders completed their 4 year plan, new Positive Prevention Plus program with our 7th graders, Science Camp for our 6th graders, Robotics competitions with our Robotics club, successful Challenge Days, successful Career Day, and SO MUCH MORE!  We LOVE watching our students, staff and CULTURE grow!!

Now is a great time to spring clean and purge!  Please start going through your cabinets and getting rid of items that are not being used.  For all staff who do not have energy efficient items in their classroom, please take the fridges, microwaves and other items home and dispose of them in the correct manner.  We cannot have these on campus any longer, so please replace them before coming back in August!  If you need something picked up by Warehouse, please let me know and I can help!

*ONE TIME OFFER- anything that you want delivered to Good Will, please bring it to downstairs table outside mail room and it will be taken for you- no questions asked=)  Offer good until Friday, June 9th!

When you return in August, MANY of you will have a FULL SET of Chrome Books in your classroom!  YAY us and THANK YOU to PTC!  Please please please start keeping better track of who uses these each day.  They are getting damaged at an alarming rate that we are struggling to keep up with.  Please have them labeled with your NAME, ROOM, and have the students sign them in and out each time they are being used.  We have been able to charge those students that damaged our devices once we know who they are.  We will have to do this until we actually become a 1:1 device school and can sign them out to students all year.

• SUPER shout out to Rochelle with the College and Career Club kids for the hard work with Career Day!
• SUPER shout out to Dalal for ALL of her tireless efforts over and over for MAP!
• SUPER shout out to Mimi, Rosa, and Aida for making sure kids were where they were supposed to be during the confusion on Career Day!  
• SUPER shout out to Lucero for her idea of how to rotate the kids during Career Day!  We will work on the kinks and avoid May next time!
• SUPER shout out to Katherine for uploading a "Teacher Report Card" to get student feedback!  Check it out!
• We have had 301 Good News Referrals for May!!  We have had 14 already written for JUNE!! 
• We have had 2, 154 TOTAL FOR THE YEAR!! KEEP THEM COMING!! Yes.  We have had several referrals, especially lately.  Deep breath.  Take a moment.  I know everyone is stressed- kids and adults.  We are the adults and we have to be the bigger person =) Patience, guys! We've got this!!
